Looking Deep into Nature: Peter Partington Retrospective
About
A retrospective exhibition celebrating the life and work of wildlife artist Peter Partington SWLA, featuring his studio, paintings, prints and sculptures.
This exhibition celebrates the life and work of Peter Partington SWLA (1941-2025), Nature in Art's first artist in residence and a long-standing friend of the museum. It features his studio, diverse works including paintings, prints and sculptures, and pieces not previously displayed in public from private and public collections, alongside his lesser-known abstract art. A new book, 'Peter Partington: The Artists Anthology' by his son Jerome Partington, accompanies the show, with proceeds supporting a SWLA nature art school programme, Nature in Art and conservation charities. A free launch event takes place on 29 September from 3.30pm to 6.30pm, open to all.
