About
A free lunchtime recital of double bass and piano music by Schumann, Ravel, Fauré, Bottesini and Ponce.
Double bassist Will Duerden, a 2018 BBC Young Musician finalist and 2024 Classic FM Rising Star, joins Ukrainian-born pianist Svitlana Kosenko for a 50-minute lunchtime chamber concert. The programme moves from lyrical romance to virtuosic brilliance, spanning Schumann's Adagio and Allegro, Ravel's Deux mélodies hébraïques, Fauré's Berceuse, Bottesini's Fantasia on Lucia di Lammermoor and Ponce's Estrellita. Admission is free with no booking required.
