Cardinal Quintet - Relaxed Performance

A free relaxed lunchtime wind quintet concert by the Cardinal Quintet at Leeds Conservatoire, open to everyone in a welcoming, flexible environment.

The Manchester-based Cardinal Quintet, recent graduates of the Royal Northern College of Music and winners of the 2025 RNCM Fewkes Chamber Music Prize, give a 50-minute relaxed lunchtime concert. The programme spans Rimsky-Korsakov's Flight of the Bumblebee, Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf, Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker selections, Ravel's Mother Goose, Valerie Coleman's Red Clay and Mississippi Delta and Robin Stevens' Sweet Soufflé. As a relaxed performance, lights stay up, doors remain open, volume contrasts are lessened, and audience members may move freely, leave and re-enter as needed.
