Halloween at Rozelle: Tam o’ Shanter Experience
About
Rozelle House's galleries are transformed into spooky settings from Burns's Tam o' Shanter, with Goudie paintings, a character trail and free family crafts.
For its second year, the Tam o' Shanter experience brings Robert Burns's famous poem to life at Rozelle House. Alexander Goudie's paintings of the tale hang in galleries transformed into the story's spooky settings, and visitors walk through the market scene, graveyard and Brig o' Doom before the ghouls of Alloway Kirk. New this year is a £3 trail between Rozelle and the Robert Burns Birthplace Museum featuring 12 characters from the poem, and free self-led Halloween crafts are available in the engagement space for younger or easily spooked visitors. Open Monday to Saturday 10am–5pm and Sundays 12 noon–5pm.
