Fountains Café: Serving Bradford for Fifty-Five Years
About
A display of objects, illustrations and collected memories celebrating Bradford's much-loved Fountains Café, which ran from 1968 until 2023.
This display at Bradford Industrial Museum celebrates Fountains Café, the family-run coffee house opened by Paul and Mary Georgiou in 1968 at Bradford's John Street Market (later the Oastler Shopping Centre) and closed in 2023. Bradford District Museums and Galleries acquired some of the café's iconic objects after its closure, and these are showcased alongside illustrations by Clock Tower Studios. Memories collected by History in Action and brought to life by Bent Architect Theatre Company complete a nostalgic look at a much-loved Bradford institution.
