About
A hands-on workshop at Harlow Museum where children aged 7+ bury small objects in plaster layers to make an excavation block to dig like an archaeologist.
Participants bury small objects in layers of plaster to create a block which, once dry, can be excavated like an archaeologist. Visitors can bring their own small objects such as coins, beads or small bones, or choose from objects provided. The session lasts two hours and is for ages 7 and over, an age limit enforced because of the use of plaster. It could get messy, so old clothes are recommended.
