Home Educator Activity: Brass Rubbing and Medieval Handling

A hands-on afternoon for home-educated 12-16 year olds making brass rubbings and handling real and replica medieval artefacts.

This workshop for home-educated young people aged 12-16 explores the medieval period through brass rubbing and object handling. Participants make rubbings of the museum's replica church brasses using supplied wax crayons, pencils and paper, and handle real and replica medieval artefacts. Capacity is very limited, so siblings and additional adults cannot attend, though accompanying adults who wish to take part can book a ticket.
