Strathcarron Stories: 45 Years Of Strathcarron Hospice
About
A free photography exhibition at Tolbooth Gallery marking 45 years of Strathcarron Hospice, with new work by Margaret Mitchell and Charles McGuigan.
Strathcarron Stories is the first exhibition of its kind in the Hospice's history, marking 45 years since it opened in 1981. Two Scottish photographers were commissioned to make new bodies of work: Margaret Mitchell's series Of Stillness and Care, made within the Hospice, and Charles McGuigan's More Than a Building, looking at the communities across Forth Valley, Cumbernauld and Kilsyth where most of Strathcarron's care now takes place. Alongside the photography, visitors can watch video interviews featuring staff, volunteers, patients and families sharing their own Strathcarron Stories. The exhibition is open Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 5pm, and closed Sundays and Mondays.
