Exhibition: Rock Cycles
About
A free exhibition at Pathfoot Gallery Two exploring geological time and landscape memory, featuring work by Annie Cattrell and Calum Colvin.
Marking 300 years since the birth of James Hutton, the 'father of modern geology', this exhibition explores geological time and the memory that landscape holds. It references Hutton's 1788 Theory of the Earth and his observations at Glen Tilt, where granite penetrating metamorphic schists proved granite's volcanic origin. Work by Annie Cattrell RSA and Calum Colvin OBE RSA is shown as part of the University of Stirling Art Collection's Year of Topography programme and the RSA Celebrating Together Programme. The galleries are open to the public Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00.
