About
Author Laura Purcell discusses her new gothic horror novel Thorns in the Hollow in conversation with Whitby writer Amanda Mason.
Whitby Lit Fest hosts an in-person conversation between Laura Purcell, author of the gothic horror novel Thorns in the Hollow, and Whitby writer Amanda Mason, whose latest book The Dark is a seaside folk horror set in the 1970s blackouts. Purcell's new novel follows Tabitha, who must marry her cousin Vincent to keep her ancestral home while loving the gamekeeper's son Kit — until Vincent dies in what looks like a brutal attack. The event lasts 90 minutes at Flowergate Hall.
