Crime, Courts and Cold Nerves

Crime writers Jo Murray and Louise Minchin discuss their debut thrillers with Lucinda Hawksley at Whitby Lit Fest.

Whitby Lit Fest hosts an evening conversation with two debut crime writers. Jo Murray, a barrister at Newcastle and Durham Crown Courts, discusses her Sunday Times bestseller Dissection of a Murder, a courtroom drama set in the North East now being adapted for Apple TV. Former BBC News anchor Louise Minchin talks about her thriller Isolation Island, set in the world of reality television, and her forthcoming novel Final Breath. Author and historian Lucinda Hawksley chairs the discussion, which explores justice, deception, research and the craft of keeping readers guessing.
