Philip Colbert: The Lost Gardens of Lobsteropolis
About
An exhibition of Philip Colbert's large-scale lobster-themed paintings and immersive environments exploring pop culture, art history and digital imagery.
The exhibition welcomes visitors into Philip Colbert's visual universe, presenting large-scale paintings and immersive environments that combine art history, popular culture and the imagery of contemporary digital life. At its heart is a monumental new painting staging a fantastical journey through myth, technology and contemporary visual culture, alongside flower paintings and shaped canvases. Colbert's lobster character acts as a guide through shifting cultural landscapes where past and present intermingle.
