Tarran and LLAU
About
Glasgow folk band Tarran performs their debut album The Turning Ground in full at Mackintosh Queens Cross as part of Celtic Connections 2027.
To mark the release of their debut album The Turning Ground, Glasgow-based band Tarran perform the record in full at the Mackintosh Church as part of Celtic Connections 2027. The group, with LLAU, places harp and fiddle at the centre of a sound that fuses Scottish and Irish traditional music with intricate modern arrangements, backed by piano, bodhrán and drum kit. The album explores musical links across Europe's Atlantic edge — Scotland, Ireland, Brittany and Galicia — mixing traditional tunes with original compositions and Latin American rhythmic influences.
