About
A free two-hour ranger-led walk at Burnham Beeches exploring the ancient beech and oak pollards and how they are kept alive.
Join one of the Burnham Beeches Rangers for a two-hour walk celebrating the site's ancient trees and National Tree Week. The walk explains how and why the historic beech and oak pollards were created and the management work being done to keep them alive. Many of the trees are over 500 years old and support rare mosses, lichens and animals, including a tiny false scorpion that hunts on the bark. Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome.
