A five-day practical course in framing gable and hipped roofs in green oak.
The workshop covers lining out, cutting and fitting common, principal, hip and jack rafters, with attention to historic carpentry and repair. The museum says the course builds on two previous oak-framing workshops. It takes place in the unheated Gridshell; warm work clothes and steel-toe safety boots are required. The session is marked fully booked with a waiting-list contact.
