Anglo-Saxon costume demonstration

Historic costume volunteers demonstrate Anglo-Saxon clothing skills including spinning, dyeing, leatherwork, basket making and weaving.

Sutton Hoo's historic costume volunteers demonstrate the skills behind Anglo-Saxon clothing made from natural materials. Visitors can watch and ask questions as the team shows spinning, dyeing, leatherwork, basket making, weaving and tablet weaving. The demonstrations take place outdoors in the courtyard near the ship sculpture, weather permitting, and are suitable for all ages.
