Lunchtime Talk: Fitzrovia – Where Open Minds Create
About
A free lunchtime talk in which Marcos Gold of Fitzrovia Partnership explores how Business Improvement Districts shape, fund and manage public space in Fitzrovia.
Marcos Gold, Director of Policy and Place at Fitzrovia Partnership, examines the role of Business Improvement Districts in shaping, funding and managing the public realm. Drawing on three live projects — Whitfield Gardens, a more pedestrian-focused Warren Street, and the Fitzrovia Design Code — he looks at how improvements are negotiated across Camden and Westminster. The talk offers practical insight into how competing interests are balanced against funding, maintenance and local politics, and is part of the Building Centre's Lunchtime Talks series for people working across architecture, design and the built environment.
