Peek Behind the Pages
About
A 30-minute guided archive session for families with children aged 8+, revealing original Roald Dahl manuscripts and secrets behind his stories.
Led by the Museum's Head of Collections, this 30-minute experience in the Reading Room gives families a rare up-close look at real archive treasures, including original materials, letters and manuscripts relating to Matilda, The BFG and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Visitors can ask questions, learn what an archive is and how the collection is cared for, and hear secrets about Dahl's best-loved books. The session takes place on the first floor, accessible by lift, and under-16s must be accompanied by a paying adult.
