About

This interactive family workshop blends Anglo-Saxon history, ghosts, and mystery storytelling, inspired by real archaeology.

Inspired by the archaeology of Cookham Abbey, this one-hour workshop takes children back over 1,200 years. Participants enjoy an interactive reading and discover facts about Anglo-Saxon England and how archaeologists use clues to understand ancient people. They also create their own friendly ghost out of craft materials.
