Music and Ecological Justice: George Monbiot & Guests
About
George Monbiot hosts a Celtic Connections evening of nature-inspired music exploring ecological justice, featuring alt-folk collective Megalichen and more guests.
Part of Celtic Connections, this concert explores how songs and tunes can convey hope, unity and purpose in an era of ecological crises. Journalist and environmental activist George Monbiot guides the evening, with featured artists Megalichen performing earthy alt-folk songwriting that questions extractive relationships between humans and the living world. Organised with a local collective of independent artists, academics and venues, the event aims to reinvigorate Glasgow's legacy of hosting COP26 alongside its UNESCO City of Music status.
