Celtic Connections presents the fruits of its first artist residency, in which six musicians spent five days in creative incubation during the festival. Rachel Sermanni, Cahalen Morrison, Kris Drever, The Maes, Duncan Lyall and Trent Freeman will present new collaborative pieces alongside reimaginings of their existing works. The line-up spans indie-folk, Scottish and Australian folk, New Mexican Americana and Canadian fiddle traditions, with bassist and producer Duncan Lyall helping to pull the collaboration together.
