Circular Design Studio: Archive, Dye & Re-make
About
A five-week Wednesday evening course at Mary Ward Centre, Stratford exploring circular fashion design through archive research, natural dyeing and remaking textiles.
Tutored by Auda Sakho, this five-week practical course runs on Wednesday evenings from 24 February to 24 March 2027 and is open to beginners and intermediate learners. Participants research fashion and textile collections on a visit to the V&A East Storehouse, then work with deadstock and reclaimed textiles, experimenting with natural dyeing, botanical colour and textile manipulation. The course culminates in a final garment, accessory or textile piece and an informal sharing, with most specialist materials provided.
