Creative Felting with Embroidery
About
A two-week Friday course at Mary Ward Centre, Stratford, learning wet felting and embroidery techniques with tutor Rosina Godwin.
This two-session course explores felting, an ancient non-woven textile technique of matting woollen fibres into a dense structure. In the first session participants create small felt samples, experimenting with colour, pattern and texture through layering and manipulation; the second session focuses on embroidering the felt with simple stitches and adding needle-felted embellishments. Basic equipment is provided, and participants may turn their samples into a practical object. Suitable for beginners and those refining their skills.
