About

A Deaf-led British Sign Language tour exploring Roman Scotland and its frontier communities.

Tour guide Babs Brown leads this Deaf-led tour in British Sign Language, exploring objects and stories about the military communities on Rome’s northern frontier and how local people responded to the invading groups. The tour starts at 11:30 and lasts around one hour; visitors may explore the exhibition independently afterwards. Meet at the Level 3 exhibition entrance. BSL only, with no English voiceover by default. Request English voiceover or support with hands-on signing at least six weeks ahead. The ticketed afternoon talk at 14:00 is separate.
