Festival of the Dead – Storytelling With Laura Sampson – Ilford
About
Storyteller Laura Sampson performs folk and fairytales about the dead and the living at Redbridge Central Library as part of the Festival of the Dead.
Laura Sampson, a London-based storytelling performer and writer, takes audiences on a voyage through world folk and fairytale to a place where ancestors are remembered and creatures cross between the lands of the living and the dead. Expect silly tricks, talking skulls and long-lost loved ones in a session lasting around half an hour. The story time is BSL interpreted and timings are approximate and subject to change on the day. It forms part of the Festival of the Dead programme, supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England.
