Fundamentals of self-leadership

A one-day RCP workshop equipping resident and SAS doctors with core self-leadership skills for medical leadership roles.

This one-day RCP workshop introduces doctors to the fundamentals of self-leadership, covering the relationship between leadership and management, leadership theory and models, power and influence, emotional intelligence and personal values. Participants also explore feedback, self-reflection and strategies to protect themselves as leaders, and can combine the workshop with the Fundamentals of leading others course and a reflective assignment to gain RCP Doctors as Leaders accreditation. It is aimed primarily at resident doctors (ST1–ST7) and SAS doctors of equivalent experience, with 6 CPD credits available.
