Festive Block Printing

Tess from the Indian Block Print Co. leads a hands-on workshop printing festive designs on fabric and paper.

The session begins with an introduction and demonstration, then participants practise with traditional hand-carved Indian printing blocks and experiment with colours and patterns. Each person prints a fabric item such as a napkin, then can make paper pieces such as cards or wrapping paper to take home. Materials are provided; an apron is useful because the inks can stain. Suitable for ages 16+ and all experience levels; step-free Battery House Studio.
