WORD! International Day of People with Disabilities Open Mic Takeover
About
A poetry and spoken word open mic night celebrating International Day of People with Disabilities, exploring ideas around (dis)ability and accessibility.
WORD! hands the mic to voices in poetry, spoken word and performance for a special evening marking International Day of People with Disabilities. The night explores ideas around (dis)ability and imagines a present and future that is accessible for all, with powerful performances, unexpected moments and special guests to be announced. People with lived experience of disability are particularly invited to perform, with everybody welcome; the open mic may include sensitive or adult material. The event is for ages 16+ and runs from 7pm to 9pm.
