GoodGym York volunteers help set out tables and chairs for Age UK's day club for older people at Acomb Methodist Church.
GoodGym York is running a short volunteering task to set up the hall for Age UK's day club, which offers up to 23 older people a warm space, lunch and activities aimed at reducing social isolation. The task involves lifting and carrying tables and chairs between rooms and setting out the hall before clients arrive. Participants make their own way to the church, and the session is led by GoodGym York trainer Vicky Bushell. The session is currently full, with a waiting list available.
