Heritage Printing Workshop

A sold-out one-day letterpress and printmaking workshop at Thin Ice Press exploring York's turbulent history of print, misprints and censorship.

This one-day workshop for adults delves into the history of print, inspired by tales of misprints, mischief and censorship, and introduces the figures who practised the craft in York. Participants spend six hours in the pressroom learning letterpress plus linocut or drypoint printing, producing a unique souvenir print. Tickets include expert tuition and all materials, but the event has now sold out.
