An Introduction to Glass Painting with Flora Jamieson
About
A sold-out one-day workshop with stained-glass artist Flora Jamieson learning traditional glass painting techniques and creating a kiln-fired glass quarry.
Stained-glass artist Flora Jamieson leads a hands-on introduction to traditional glass painting, drawing inspiration from the stained glass at David Parr House and decorative designs by F. R. Leach & Sons. Participants learn trace painting and silver staining, work with hand-mixed pigments and specialist brushes, and paint a floral motif onto a glass quarry. The finished piece is kiln-fired, lead-framed and posted to participants after the workshop. The small group is limited to 10, includes lunch from Norfolk Street Bakery, and no previous experience is required.
