Pugin Craft Workshop: Cyanotypes and Autumn Leaf Printing
About
A free children's craft day using plants and flowers to create cyanotype prints and patterns inspired by Pugin's designs in Nottingham Cathedral.
Part of the Restoring Pugin project, this workshop invites children aged 7 and over to create crafts inspired by AWN Pugin's nature-based decorative designs being uncovered in the Cathedral. Using real plants and flowers, participants will design detailed patterns on photographic paper and fabric, learning a craft with roots in local history and ancient practice. All materials are provided and children take home what they make; two sessions run with an hour's break at noon, and all children must be accompanied by an adult.
