About

The New Cambridge Singers perform Scarlatti's Stabat Mater and other seventeenth-century Roman sacred music with organ and theorbo at Linton's Church of St Mary the Virgin.

The New Cambridge Singers, conducted by James Potter, present a programme of sacred music from the churches and chapels of seventeenth- and eighteenth-century Rome. The centrepiece is Domenico Scarlatti's Stabat mater for ten voice-parts, alongside works by Alessandro Melani, Giacomo Carissimi and Alessandro Scarlatti. The performance is accompanied by organ (Simon Hogan) and theorbo (Jonatan Bougt) and runs from 7:30pm to 9:15pm.
