Stabat Mater by Pergolesi in Liverpool

A one-night Liverpool premiere of Pergolesi's Stabat Mater performed on period instruments by the Brandenburg Baroque Soloists with two soloists at St George's Hall.

Red Events presents a Liverpool premiere of Pergolesi's Stabat Mater, performed on period instruments by the Brandenburg Baroque Soloists, a string quintet with chamber organ tuned to A=415, in the authentic Neapolitan church pitch of the 18th century. Soprano Abigail Barker and countertenor Gleb Zakharov appear as soloists, with the programme completed by additional baroque selections. The one-night concert lasts about 60 minutes and features lighting design conceived for the hall's acoustics.
