Guests are welcome; the society appreciates a suggested £10 contribution per visit.
About
Julian Richards examines the car as a subject and medium in art, from Futurism and Art Deco design to work by Peter Blake, Andy Warhol and Damien Hirst.
The lecture considers cars in Futurist imagery, the craftsmanship of Art Deco vehicle design, and the use of cars as artistic canvases from the 1950s onward.
