Observatory Unlocked offers drop-in weekend sessions where Observatory Explainers deliver live science demonstrations and astronomy activities around the Royal Observatory site. Visitors can get hands-on with a telescope, explore the lunar surface with activities linked to Luke Jerram's Mirror Moon installation, try using a sextant and put questions to the astronomers. Sessions run on Saturdays and Sundays between 11am and 2.30pm and are suitable for all ages, with activities varying by weather, season and availability.
