Distilled: Ravel, Debussy and Bax
About
A Distilled chamber concert pairing trios for flute, viola and harp by Ravel, Bax and Debussy with players from the Orchestra of Opera North.
This Distilled concert at the Howard Assembly Room features chamber music for flute, viola and harp performed by players from the Orchestra of Opera North. The programme includes Ravel's Sonatine arranged for the trio, Bax's Elegiac Trio and Debussy's 1915 Sonata for flute, viola and harp, a work that helped popularise the combination. In keeping with the Distilled format, the performers speak directly about the music, offering an up-close chamber music experience. Doors open at 5.15pm with the event starting at 6pm.
