Conservation days at Meathop Moss Nature Reserve
About
Volunteer conservation days at Meathop Moss, with bog scrub and invasive-species removal, path work and boardwalk repairs.
These sessions support the continuing peatland restoration at Meathop Moss. Work can include removing scrub and invasive species, cutting brash from paths, and repairing boardwalks and other reserve infrastructure. The 19 October page says volunteers meet at Foulshaw Moss and share cars to Meathop because parking there is limited; check with the organiser for arrangements for each date. The ground is very wet and uneven, so wear wellies and bring waterproofs, warm clothing, work gloves if available, and a packed lunch. Booking is required.
