Ben Tanner
About
New College organ scholar Ben Tanner gives a free lunchtime recital of works by Bruhns, Bach, Couperin, Byrd, Buxtehude and Vierne in the Queen's College Baroque chapel.
This lunchtime organ recital forms part of the Queen's College Wednesday series, performed on the chapel's Frobenius organ. Ben Tanner, recently appointed Organ Scholar at New College, Oxford, plays a programme spanning the seventeenth to twentieth centuries, including Bruhns's Praeludium in G major, Couperin movements from the Mass for the Convents, Buxtehude's Toccata in F major and Bach's Prelude and Fugue in A minor BWV 543. The informal recital finishes before 2pm and admission is free with a retiring collection; a live stream is also available.
