Overton Repair Cafe

A free volunteer-run repair cafe where locals bring broken items for fixing over tea and coffee.

Volunteer repairers attempt to fix broken or damaged items brought by the public, free of charge, while visitors enjoy tea or coffee and chat with neighbours. Typical repairs include basic bicycle maintenance, electrical appliance repair, computing assistance, sewing, ornament repair and woodworking, though microwaves are excluded for safety. Repairers will show visitors how fixes are done, and more volunteer fixers are welcome to come along.
