About

A contemporary art, archaeology and community programme exploring Somerset’s cultural heritage.

Cultural Connections brings contemporary art, archaeology and community participation together across three museum spaces. In the Abbey Barn, Candace Bahouth, Helen Cammock and Gladys Paulus respond to migration, identity, belonging and cultural exchange. The Mapstone Gallery pairs archaeology with contemporary work, while the Granary hosts Cultural Conversations with Glastonbury Conversation Club. The Abbey Barn and Granary displays run to 31 October; the Mapstone Gallery display continues to 5 December. Museum opening hours vary by season: 10am–5pm Tuesday–Saturday in winter and Tuesday–Sunday from Easter to 31 October; bank holiday Mondays open. Standard museum admission applies unless visiting on a Museum Unlimited annual pass.
