October Half Term 2026
About
A week of apple-themed family activities, crafts and farmyard animals.
The museum’s October half-term programme combines a daily trail with family activities from 10:30am to 3:30pm. Apple Day crafts and games run on 24 and 25 October; on 27 October, meet animals from Second Chance Petting Farm; on 28 October, try needle-felting with Somerset Art Works artist Luan MacDonald and explore migratory bird stories; 29 October brings birds of prey from Pitcombe Rock Falconry; on 30 October, meet the donkeys and take an optional ride for £2.50 per child, subject to age and weight restrictions; and 31 October has pumpkin craft. The museum is open 10am–5pm Tuesday–Sunday through 31 October. Activities are free with Museum Unlimited; otherwise standard museum admission applies.
