Stir-up Sunday – A Fun, Festive Fundraising Event

A festive fundraising afternoon of Christmas pudding making with alcohol-free fizz tasting and an apron competition for adults.

Discover Downham hosts a Stir-Up Sunday celebration, reviving the tradition of stirring Christmas pudding mixture on the last Sunday before Advent. Participants bring their own mixing bowl, spoon and apron; ingredients are provided to make a pudding to take home and cook for Christmas. The afternoon also includes tasting and voting on alcohol-free fizz drinks and a prize for the best Christmas apron. The event is for adults aged 18 and over, limited to 20 places, and raises funds for Discover Downham's planned extension.
