Secret Walled Garden Tours

Guided Thursday tours of Wollaton's four-acre walled garden, exploring its history and volunteer-led restoration.

Guided tours take visitors into the Secret Walled Garden, a four-acre site surrounded by 12-foot walls with a Head Gardener's Cottage built between 1783 and 1788. The tour covers the work volunteers have done over the last three years to clear ivy and brambles and grow flowers and vegetables once again. Tours last just over an hour and meet at the garden entrance opposite the Lower Car Park; a £5 cash donation supports the garden's improvement.
