About
This exhibition showcases Pop Art, which reflected mass consumerism and popular culture, featuring prints by artists including Andy Warhol.
Pop Art emerged in the 1950s and 60s, reflecting mass consumerism and popular culture through new, accessible printmaking methods. Cartwright Hall's connection to Pop Art began in 1968 with the First British International Print Biennale. The exhibition features some of the museum's greatest prints, including works by Andy Warhol, Roy Licthenstein, and Richard Hamilton.
