Samhain
About
A Samhain gathering at Chalice Well Garden with meditations, a fire ceremony, drumming and harp music to honour the ancestors.
Chalice Well Garden marks Samhain, the end of the Celtic year, as a community day to honour ancestors and the turning towards winter. The programme includes a 9am livestreamed meditation, a midday silent meditation at the Wellhead followed by a pilgrimage to the Vesica Pool, and refreshments from 10am. From 4pm there is a fire ceremony under the Guardian Yew Trees with the Avalon Tribe Drummers, harp music by Vicki Burke in King Arthur's Court, and floating candles lit for the ancestors at 4:30pm. The garden closes at 6pm, with last entry at 4pm, weather permitting.
