The Marriage of Figaro

Bradford Opera Festival presents Mozart’s comic opera in a new Yorkshire version by Ian McMillan, reimagined with Western and Indian classical instruments.

Set in 1970s Bradford, this adaptation follows Figaro and Susanna as they try to thwart the Count’s pursuit of Susanna. The new translation by Ian McMillan joins orchestral music with Indian classical instruments; conductor Ben Crick and director Alex Chisholm lead the production.
