11 - 14 Club!

A school-holiday willow lantern workshop for 11–14 year olds, building a giant lantern to feature in the Festival of Light parade.

This hands-on workshop invites 11–14 year olds to design and build a giant willow lantern as a group, with all materials provided. Participants can join for one day or all three, and past creations have included sharks, Paddington Bear and a Minecraft Creeper. The finished lantern can then appear in the Festival of Light lantern parade in Newbury town centre on Sunday 13 December. The Wednesday 28 and Thursday 29 October sessions have been cancelled, so only the Tuesday 27 October session is running.
