Introduction to TIG Welding
About
An evening class at Blackhorse Workshop introducing the theory and practice of TIG welding, taught by experienced welder Micky Matesich.
This evening session introduces TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding, covering welding safety, machine setup for different metals, metal preparation and basic techniques. TIG welding is popular for its neat finish and ability to fuse metals including mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, brass and copper, and its clean, quiet process suits artists and furniture makers. Participants must have completed a Blackhorse Workshop metalwork induction, and some MIG welding experience is recommended. The class runs from 6:30pm to 9:30pm on Tuesday 2 February 2027.
