Book presentations in Spanish for the VI Festival de Cultura Queer en Español featuring Antonio Aguilar and Paula Villanueva, interviewed by Jorge Garriz.

Part of the VI Festival de Cultura Queer en Español in London, this evening presents two new books. Antonio Aguilar discusses Elogio del cruising, an essay tracing homoerotic desire in contemporary Spanish poetry from Cernuda onwards, while Paula Villanueva presents El Círculo Sáfico, which uncovers lesbian and bisexual life in early twentieth-century Madrid around figures such as Elena Fortún, Victoria Kent and Carmen Conde. Interviews with both authors are conducted by Jorge Garriz. The event is held in Spanish, with copies of the books on sale afterwards.
